"Advocatin For Your Right To Serve Our Country and The Freedom to Serve in Your True Essence"

You Are of Value, You Deserve Respect, You Deserve Support, You Are Worthy, Let Us Help You
We Support All Service Members, Veterans, and Their Families Imapcted By Don't Ask Don't Tell

The Sanctuary Project Veterans (SPV) is an Activist Outreach Ministry. We are non-denominational and non-partisan. We advocate for Servicemembers, veterans, and families impacted by Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. SPV supports all of our troops and provides services for any Servicemember, veteran, or family member. We will assist anyone that needs help. One of the services’ SPV provides is assisting Servicemembers, veterans, and their family to obtain Veteran Administration medical benefits, compensation, pension, and submission of claims. Corporal Evelyn Thomas and Linda Sanders are certified Veteran Service Officer Liaisons. SPV works directly with the Department of Veterans Administration. We assist people to obtain their entitled and earned benefits. We are “Pit-bulls for Benefits”; more likely than not military personnel impacted by Don’t Ask Don’t Tell receive “other-than honorable” discharges and are told they are not entitled to benefits.

SPV ministry is based on love for our LGBT sisters and brothers who voluntarily served their country by enlisting in the Armed Forces. Our motto is we “advocate for your right to serve our country and the freedom to serve in your true essence.” People should not be condemned or penalized for loving another. It is a devastating experience when an LGBT Servicemember is kicked-out of the military by the Department of Defense for loving another human being. All aspects of the servicemembers’ life is based on their military career and when it is taken away; their job, friends, and in some cases their family-they lose hope in themselves and in life. Our goal is first to give and show them love and help them develop a sense of value and self worth in a non-judgmental, confidential environment. Our goal is for the LGBT servicemember or veteran to develop self-empowerment. Then SPV can begin to assist the servicemember or veteran based on their individual need, because each case is different.
